Honorary Chairpersons for all HOC and CII anniversary events are Charles G. (Chuck) Raymond, Chairman, President and CEO of Horizon Lines, LLC, the successor company to McLean’s Sea-Land Service; and Mrs. Irena Z. McLean, widow of Mr. McLean.

 

Michael B. Berzon
Chairman
Mr. Berzon, formerly of The DuPont Company, is President of Marlog Inc., a global supply chain consultancy.

 

James Devine
Vice Chairman
Mr. Devine is President of New York Container Terminal on Staten Island and a respected industry veteran, having managed various operations for Sea-Land Service Inc.

 

Ashley W. Craig
Treasurer
Mr. Craig is an attorney with Venable LLP in Washington D.C. concentrating on government relations and transportation law. His legislative experience includes the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002, the Trade Act of 2002, the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 1998, the ICC Termination Act of 1995, and the Intermodal Safe Container Transportation Amendments Act of 1996. Mr. Craig is also a board member of the Washington, D.C. Propeller Club.

 

Ashley W. Craig
Treasurer
Mr. Craig is an attorney with Venable LLP in Washington D.C. concentrating on government relations and transportation law. Stanford A. Erickson
Mr. Erickson is Associate Publisher of Transport Topics magazine for the American Trucking Association, one of the nation’s most important transportation trade associations.
Alan Glass
Mr. Glass is Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Business Media, Inc., the leading publishing group serving the North American transportation industry.

 

John V. Keenan
Mr. Keenan is Executive Vice President at Horizon Lines, the leading U.S. Jones Act ocean carrier that started in Sea-Land Service Inc., the pioneer of containerization in the United States.

 

Irena Z. McLean
Mrs. McLean is the widow of Malcom McLean, the founder of Sea-Land Service Inc., which in many ways invented the container industry. She remains a strong supporter of the industry her husband help build.

 

Barbara S. Yeninas
Executive Director
Mrs. Yeninas is President of BSY Associates Inc., a leading transportation communications consulting firm. She has been active in promoting the container industry for more than three decades and continues to play a key role in many industry educational outreach programs.
